1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the ScopeShield mobile application and website ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of India to use ScopeShield. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Services
ScopeShield provides a payment link generation and invoicing platform for freelancers. The Platform integrates with Razorpay to facilitate secure payment collection. ScopeShield does not hold, process, or store any funds. All payments are processed directly through Razorpay's payment gateway and credited directly to the freelancer's bank account.

4. Beta Access
The Platform is currently in beta and access is limited to a select group of testers. Beta access is provided on an "as-is" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Platform at any time without notice.

5. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. All activities that occur under your account are your sole responsibility. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

6. Fees
ScopeShield charges zero platform fees for beta users. Standard Razorpay payment gateway charges may apply to transactions and are borne by the freelancer. Any future pricing changes will be communicated in advance.

7. Limitation of Liability
ScopeShield shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the use of the Platform.

8. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.

9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide during registration, including your name, email address, phone number, and business details. We also collect usage data such as invoices created, payment links generated, and app interactions to improve our service. Payment processing is handled entirely by Razorpay; we do not store your Razorpay API keys or payment card information.

2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to: (a) provide and maintain the Platform, (b) facilitate payment link generation via Razorpay integration, (c) communicate with you about your account and feature updates, (d) improve and troubleshoot the Platform, and (e) comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored on secure servers located in India. We implement industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) for data in transit and at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

4. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with: (a) Razorpay for processing payment transactions, (b) Supabase for cloud data storage and synchronization, (c) legal authorities when required by law, and (d) service providers who assist in Platform operations under strict confidentiality agreements.

5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account closure, data is retained for up to 3 years to comply with legal and tax obligations, after which it is securely deleted.

6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may request a copy of your data by contacting us. You may also withdraw consent for data processing at any time, subject to contractual and legal limitations.

1. Beta Access
ScopeShield is currently in beta and access is free for all beta testers. Since no fees are charged during the beta period, no refunds are applicable. Any future paid plans will have a separate refund policy communicated at the time of launch.

2. Refund Eligibility for Future Paid Plans
When paid plans are introduced, refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days if requested within 7 days of purchase. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method.

3. Razorpay Transaction Refunds
ScopeShield generates payment links via Razorpay but does not handle or process payments directly. Any disputes regarding individual transactions between freelancers and their clients must be resolved through Razorpay's dispute resolution process or between the parties themselves.

4. Cancellation
Since the beta is free, there is no recurring billing to cancel. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion.

6. Governing Law
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from refunds shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.
